Welcome To At The Willows Bed & Breakfast

01764683202

The Willows was built in 2007 by the Sinclair family in the small hamlet of New Fowlis four miles from Crieff and twelve miles from Perth. It is an attractive ranch style house overlooking the beautiful Strathearn valley with a panoramic vista stretching from Ben Vorlich in the west over Gleneagles and Auchterarder to the Lomond hills and St. Andrews in the Kingdom of Fife in the east.

We offer accommodation of a high standard with one large double room with private patio and two twin bedded rooms; all are ensuite, light and spacious. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, shaver points, magazines, etc. There is easy wheelchair access.

Perthshire is renowned for its beautiful, peaceful countryside teaming with wildlife. Pleasant evenings can be spent savouring the fresh, local produce served locally and perhaps, if you are still feeling energetic why not venture and try a Scottish Ceilidh. Transport locally can be arranged in the evenings and collection if before 11pm.

Of course, there is golf in abundance with over thirty courses in Tayside as well as the championship courses of St. Andrews (45 miles), Carnoustie (49 miles) and Gleneagles itself only 15 minutes away. The popular theatres of Pitlochry and Perth are a short drive away and bowling and the cinema can be found in Perth or Stirling.

For the more active visitor, Perthshire is a popular area for hill walkers with many lovely walks - easy or on a Munro level; there are the newly developed Comrie Croft mountain bike trails; sailing at Loch Earn as well as public swimming pools, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, horse riding and bicycle hire available locally.

There are many historical landmarks within easy driving distance: Scone Palace and its fabulous gardens; Blair Atholl Castle and the only private army in the UK; the Famous Grouse Experience at the oldest distillery in Scotland, the stunning Drummond Castle gardens as featured in Rob Roy and Abercairney estate as featured in Outlander are just a few. Fowlis Wester is just up the hill which featured in Chariots of Fire and has its own pair of nesting Ospreys.

Indeed there are many things to fill in the day before returning back to the Willows where the guest sitting room is free to relax in and admire the view.

There is no smoking within the house but there is an upstairs balcony or the large ground level verandah available to guests. Early breakfasts and packed lunches can be arranged on request.
